The North Bay Region is literally right smack in the middle of 3400 km (2000 miles) of groomed ecstasy. North Bay is the starting point for all your fun. Incredibly well marked trails lead to exciting and different opportunities. Our winter heaven has an abundance of accommodation and lodging choices.
Skiing in the Bay
Downhill: For downhill skiing there is Laurentian Ski Hill on Janey Ave. The ski hill has a 310 foot vertical drop, with a state-of-the-art quad chair lift and snow making. Facilities include ski, snowboard, terrain park and ski patrol.
Cross Country: The North Bay Nordic Ski Club has over 40 kilometres of marked, groomed and track-set trails with a club house and snack bar open seven days a week. The club offers ski instructions, moonlight skiing, pot luck suppers and trail cookouts. Samuel de Champlain Park offers cross-country skiing through the park on groomed trails.
Snowshoeing in the North
This is one sport anyone can do. With as little as six to eight inches of snow, beginners and seasoned veterans alike can enjoy the great outdoors
Dionne Quintuplets Museum
The Dionne Quints Museum, is a not for profit institution, operated by the North Bay and District Chamber of Commerce with the co-operation of Annette and Cecile Dionne. Housing in the original Dionne homestead, the museum contains many artifacts from the Quint's early days and their growing years.
@Discovery North Bay
Since 1973 the former North Bay Area Museum, now @discoverynorthbay, has been a local voice of heritage preservation and education for the community. Our goal for our current exhibits is to tell the stories of our community in a way you've never seen before.
North Bay Sports Hall of Fame
Located at Memorial Gardens, 100 Chippewa St. West - includes a photo display of over 200 members as well as historical photo and artifacts displays.
